Aquamarine Plus
Start: On 18 March 2022, HGS
received an invitation from the Ministry of Energy (EM) to submit an
application for an individual grant for the implementation of a hydrogen-based
project. Our company designed the content of the project proposed for funding
with a view to the development directions identified during the Aquamarine
Project. Therefore, by carrying out research and development tasks, the project
to be implemented aims to explore how to increase hydrogen usage, which is
directly necessary for the expansion of the hydrogen economy, and by improving
the hydrogen tolerance of current infrastructure elements, to provide a
cost-effective alternative for their utilisation. The project elements to be
implemented are:
o
Hydrogen energy storage
system development
o
Establishment of dynamic
control for compressor units operating in a hydrogen-blended natural gas
medium.
o
Development of coating
technologies for tanks, steel pipes and plastic pipes
o
Development of hydrogen
compatibility and conformity assessment procedures
Objective: By carrying out research and development tasks, to explore how to increase
hydrogen usage, which is directly necessary for the expansion of the hydrogen
economy, and by improving the hydrogen tolerance of current infrastructure
elements, to provide a cost-effective alternative for their utilisation.
